Digital Content Producer - WOOD-TV

WOOD TV8 is looking for a Digital Content Producer to produce engaging content for woodtv.com. We are looking for someone with strong news judgement, who can quickly and calmly react to breaking news. In addition to breaking news stories, this person will be responsible for crafting engaging hard news stories throughout the day.

The ideal candidate can produce news stories quickly while meeting high editorial standards, craft engaging headlines and social media posts, and have a digital first mindset.

A passion for writing and local news is a must. Journalism or newsroom experience is preferred. A strong handle on local and national news is imperative. Exceptional spelling and grammar are essential. You will work in a deadline-driven environment and must be able to multi-task. Experience with WordPress, SEO and Associated Press-style writing is a plus. This is a full-time position. Weekend and night hours may be required.
