Cover Letter/Introduction:   My name is Darcy Satkowiak, and I am writing to present my interest in the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. I have always had a passion for storytelling through sports, content development, and gathering new ideas. As a passionate sports fan and an aspiring sports journalist, I would like to learn more about the MAB. As a Communications major at Trine University, I am the Editor in Chief of the Humanities and Communication Team. In this leadership role, I have developed new photo and video projects for the department’s social media. I am experienced in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for designing content. In addition, I have been a student broadcaster with the Trine Broadcasting Network for three years. I have worked with producers and other students to deliver live commentary for campus athletic events. I also worked as a Gameday Operations intern for three summers with Cap City Athletic. I was the game PA announcer and created gameday graphics for the semi-professional women’s soccer team. Through each of these experiences and my time in the classroom, I believe I can succeed with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Thank you for considering my application.
