Account Executive - WXYZ-TV (Detroit)
Are you a motivated sales professional ready to make an impact in the Detroit metropolitan area? WXYZ is seeking an Account Executive to join our dynamic team in Southfield, MI. This role offers you the opportunity to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and innovative advertising solutions for our valued clients. You'll have the chance to build relationships with local businesses while representing one of the most trusted media brands in Southeast Michigan. Scripps offers a hybrid work option for this position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and advertising agencies Identify prospects and prepare persuasive sales presentations to new and existing accounts Pitch multiplatform solutions that deliver results for clients Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and revenue targets Monitor competition and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities Work collaboratively with station departments to coordinate client campaigns Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM system Participate in community events and networking opportunities to generate leads
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred 2+ years of sales experience, media sales experience a plus Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain client relationships Self-motivation and goal-oriented mindset Excellent time management and organizational abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems Creative problem-solving approach to address client needs Resilience and persistence in a competitive sales environment Knowledge of media landscape and advertising principles Ability to explain complex advertising concepts in simple terms
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits. Occasional evening and weekend availability for client meetings and events.
