IT Ops Tech II - WXMI-TV (Grand Rapids)

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Configure, install, maintain and upgrade computer systems hardware and software Administer and maintain security of operating systems Restore files or systems by designing, writing and implementing backup procedures Provide operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, including application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices Perform recovery procedures, handle scheduling and backups, and monitor batch processes Work flexible hours, including occasional holidays, weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: High school diploma/GED required Associates degree preferred 1-3 years of experience in IT support or related field

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Experience with basic system administration tools and processes Strong computer networking skills Excellent organizational abilities Ability to conform to high security environments and execute company security and controls policies Skill in working in stressful situations and multi-tasking as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Some moderate lifting may be required
