WGRY FM 101.1 Up North Sports Radio is seeking a new voice for TC West Titans High School football and basketball play-by-play LIVE video broadcasts. Add the extra dimension to sports broadcasts with your personality! Deliver the information needed to keep fans in the know, and do so while entertaining a local and/or national audience. Occupy the best seat in the house for football, basketball and other sporting events! Live your dream of being in the booth as you put your sports knowledge together with broadcast experience to do play-by-play for high school sports in the Northern Michigan area. You'll travel to follow teams, interview coaches and players, responsible for set up of video broadcast and LIVE FB feed, cover games and write or record game recaps for the Up North Sports Radio website and FB page. Position is for Play-By-Play announcer, but could be additional opportunity for the right broadcaster.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Pleasant, engaging, likeable radio/video presence with strong knowledge of high school sports (football and basketball) and local Northern Michigan community
• Ability to deliver creative, compelling and enthusiastic play-by-play including player information and stats; client sponsorships and important local information.
• Ability to create good relationships with team coaches and league athletic directors
• Ability to set-up LIVE video broadcast equipment and graphic packages at all home and away games
• A working knowledge of studio operations and current production software is necessary.
• Must be available to attend all home and away games for local high school football and basketball teams including select Girls Basketball games
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma required
• Prefer previous on air/video experience but you may be considered if you possess the right tools and desire to learn
