Producer - WNEM-TV (Saginaw)

WNEM, a Gray Local Media, Inc. station, is recruiting for a Producer. This person creates, coordinates, and writes content on a variety of platforms, including broadcast, web, digital, and social media. The Producer displays creativity, aggressiveness, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and team spirit in the pursuit of excellent content for newscasts, online and social platforms. The Producer assists with the daily flow of news to the newsroom for appropriate coverage both on-air and on the station’s digital platforms. This person gathers meaningful news information from various sources, generates story ideas, and checks out credible news tips. Successful candidates will have solid news judgment, a sound grasp of broadcast and online journalism and a sense of urgency for breaking news.

Requirements (Experience, Education, Etc.):    Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. At least two years working in broadcast media and Social Media. Experience using a content management system (CMS) a plus. Strong editorial skills and working knowledge of AP and Broadcast Style also preferred.
